§ 20-2-201. Definitions.

    For the purpose of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively, ascribed to them herein:

    1.

    "Alley" means a minor right-of-way dedicated to public use, which affords a secondary means of vehicular access to the back or side of properties otherwise abutting a street and which may be used for public utility purposes;

    2.

    "Pavement, paving or paved" means and includes any of the following types of street surfacing: Onecourse concrete, asphaltic wearing course on a base course, onecourse asphaltic concrete, single or double bituminous surface on a base course, gravel or rock surface course; and

    3.

    "Street" means any public or private thoroughfare which affords the principal means of access to abutting property.
