§ 20-4-402. Application requirements—Procedural process.

    An application shall be submitted to the Community Services Director for a revocable communications cable or pipeline permit for installation of a communications system or pipeline conveyance system on forms prepared by the city planner and shall contain the following general information:

    1.

    Full name of organization, corporation or individual, address and telephone information of the applicant.

    2.

    A written explanation of the proposed project.

    3.

    Routing plans showing the proposed location of the communications system or pipeline conveyance system and related facilities to include the proposed location, identification of public ways to be utilized and other related information to provide the city with sufficient information to objectively evaluate the merits of the proposed project.

    4.

    Any other additional information requested by the Community Services Director related to the project that is necessary to provide the proper recommendation to the city council.

    B.

    Submission and review of the application and routing plans.

    1.

    After submission of the complete application, as required by subsection A of this section, the Community Services Director shall initiate and coordinate with appropriate departments review of the application and routing plans and formulate a recommendation for the city council's consideration.

    2.

    The application shall be submitted for review and consideration by the city council within sixty (60) days of the submission date.

    3.

    The city attorney shall prepare an appropriate revocable communications cable or pipeline permit on forms acceptable to the city council which are not in conflict with the provisions of this article and will protect the interest of the citizens of Lawton.

    4.

    The city council will consider the issuance of a revocable communications cable or pipeline permit for the installation and construction of the communications system and related facilities on public ways. The council may approve, modify, or deny the permit.
