§ 7-28-1-2806. Existing home occupations.

  • A.

    Any home occupation existing pursuant to prior code, may continue so long as the operator of said home occupation provides proof of the conformity and existence of the home occupation and obtains a registration as required by this article. The director of the building development department may require whatever proof is deemed necessary to establish this fact. Failure to provide such proof or if said proof is deemed inadequate by the director of the building development department shall place the home occupation into nonconformity and the provisions of Section 7-2805 shall apply.

    B.

    All persons having or conducting a home occupation business in conformance with the provisions of Section 18-106(30), Article 1, Chapter 18, Lawton City Code, 1985, prior to the effective date of this ordinance are required to register such home occupation with the city no later than March 31, 1994 Any person failing to register such home occupation by that date shall be required to conform with the provisions of this Article, Section 18-106 (31); Section 18-411 and Section 14-104 (19) of this code.
