§ 7-30-1-3004. Place of business; zoning requirements.

A.

Body piercing and tattoo parlors shall be located only in C-5 General Commercial, I-1 Restricted Manufacturing and Warehousing, I-2 Industrial Park, I-3 Light Industrial or I-4 Heavy Industrial zoning districts.

B.

The provisions of this section shall not apply to the renewal of licenses for locations where body piercing operators have been licensed by the State Department of Health prior to November 1, 2006.

C.

Any person operating a body piercing or tattoo parlor, which was not open, operating and permitted prior to the enactment of this article, shall not be allowed to operate the facility for any purpose until the zoning and distance requirements for such establishments have been satisfied.
